Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Albert Cossery by Kamel El Telmissany was auctioned at Christies in London in November last year. The price achieved of GBP 13,860.00 (€ 16,060.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kamel El Telmissany have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of GBP 100,800.00 (€ 116,805.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Albert Cossery von Kamel El Telmissany kam im November letzten Jahres bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.860,00 (€ 16.060,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kamel El Telmissany auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.800,00 (€ 116.805,28).
