Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
When the work Sans Titre - 2014 by Kan was auctioned at Artcurial in June 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 501.00 but the actual price achieved was more than five times as high at EUR 2,800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Kat Von D - 2015 sold at auction in July 2021 with the realized price of EUR 5,460.00.
Kunstwerk zum Fünffachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Sans Titre - 2014 von Kan im Juni 2015 bei Artcurial versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 501,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 2.800,00 mehr als fünfmal so hoch. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Kat Von D - 2015 im Juli 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 5.460,00.
