In the The House Sale auction, the work Saint Martin Giving His Cloak To The Poor changed hands for USD 4,200.00 (€ 3,471.65) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Karel Breydel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Große flämische Dorflandschaft mit reicher Staffage in November this year with an auction result of EUR 30,240.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Karel Breydel konnte im Juni 2005 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion The House Sale wechselte die Arbeit Saint Martin Giving His Cloak To The Poor für USD 4.200,00 (€ 3.471,65) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00.
