Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mother and Child by Karin Jonzen was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 822.50 (€ 1,262.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Karin Jonzen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Seated female Nude in March 2003 with an auction result of GBP 8,225.00 (€ 11,914.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Mother and Child von Karin Jonzen kam im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 822,50 (€ 1.262,58) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karin Jonzen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Seated female Nude im März 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.225,00 (€ 11.914,93).
