Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Making repairs by Karl Bachmann for GBP 376.00 (€ 607.67). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Bachmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Cup, Saucer, Bottle, Jug And Glass With A Book To The Side, which sold at auction in March 2006 for GBP 960.00 (€ 1,375.51).
