Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Paesaggio lacustre con aquila by Carl Hoyrup was auctioned at Il Ponte in September 2013, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 120.00 – 150.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 100.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Carl Hoyrup achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work On the dunes in September 2001 with an auction result of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,422.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Paesaggio lacustre con aquila von Carl Hoyrup im September 2013 bei Il Ponte versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 120,00 – 150,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 100,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Carl Hoyrup erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit On the dunes im September 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 881,25 (€ 1.422,84).
