Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Homage To Leger by Karl Knaths was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of USD 165.75 (€ 152.46) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 100.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Knaths achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lilacs in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 34,000.00 (€ 23,500.14).

Die Arbeit Homage To Leger von Karl Knaths kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 165,75 (€ 152,46) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 100,00 – 200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Knaths erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lilacs im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 34.000,00 (€ 23.500,14).
