Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Karl Lagerfeld achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in October last year. In the Karl Lagerfeld Online auction, the work Faust - 1995 sold for EUR 1,115.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Karl Lagerfeld achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans titre in December 2021 with an auction result of EUR 52,500.00.

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Karl Lagerfeld erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Artcurial einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Karl Lagerfeld Online wurde die Arbeit Faust - 1995 für EUR 1.115,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Karl Lagerfeld erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans titre im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 52.500,00.
