Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In September 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese & Korean Art, which included the work Yanaka no yubae (Sunset glow, Yanaka), from the series Tokyo junikagetsu (Twelve months of Tokyo), 1921.1.25 by Kawase Hasui. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,326.33). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kawase Hasui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hiraizumi Konjikido (Konjiki Hall At Hiraizumi) in September 2021 with an auction result of USD 75,000.00 (€ 64,783.62).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im September 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese & Korean Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yanaka no yubae (Sunset glow, Yanaka), from the series Tokyo junikagetsu (Twelve months of Tokyo), 1921.1.25 von Kawase Hasui zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.326,33) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kawase Hasui erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hiraizumi Konjikido (Konjiki Hall At Hiraizumi) im September 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.000,00 (€ 64.783,62).
