In the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art auction, the work Untitled (Cityscape) sold for USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,639.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 56,751.00).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni erzielte im September 2017 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Cityscape) für USD 13.750,00 (€ 11.639,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 56.751,00).
