In September 2015 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni. The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,719.23), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 56,751.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.719,23) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Krishna Shamrao Kulkarni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 56.751,00).
