Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of An African Boy by Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 600,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 725,028.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life with lilac in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 9,286,250.00 (€ 10,439,122.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of An African Boy von Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin kam im November 2013 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 602.500,00 (€ 725.028,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still life with lilac im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.286.250,00 (€ 10.439.122,20).
