Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2000 Christies in London held the auction RUSSIAN PAINTINGS AND WORKS OF ART, which included the work Brittany - the Cross by the Roadside by Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,115.00 (€ 3,369.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life with lilac in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 9,286,250.00 (€ 10,439,122.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion RUSSIAN PAINTINGS AND WORKS OF ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brittany - the Cross by the Roadside von Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.115,00 (€ 3.369,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still life with lilac im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.286.250,00 (€ 10.439.122,20).
