Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2001 Christies in New York held the auction Important Silver, Objects of Vertu and Russian Works of Art, which included the work Still life with Prism by Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 82,250.00 (€ 92,686.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life with lilac in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 9,286,250.00 (€ 10,439,122.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2001 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Important Silver, Objects of Vertu and Russian Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Still life with Prism von Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 82.250,00 (€ 92.686,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kuzma Petrov-Vodkin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still life with lilac im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.286.250,00 (€ 10.439.122,20).
