This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 10,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Lajos von Ebneth; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Komposition. 1925. sold at auction in December 2021 with the realized price of CHF 55,200.00 (€ 53,322.28).
