The work Bouquet de lys (Bouquet of Lilies) by Le Pho was sold in the 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,772,000.00 (€ 343,982.56), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Le Pho have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures in a garden in April last year with an auction result of HKD 17,920,000.00 (€ 2,166,658.44).

Die Arbeit Bouquet de lys (Bouquet of Lilies) von Le Pho wurde im November letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th/21st Century Art Evening Sale bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.772.000,00 (€ 343.982,56) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Le Pho auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures in a garden im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.920.000,00 (€ 2.166.658,44).
