Upper estimate price exceeded by 54 %.
In December this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction Vietnamese Art, which included the work Maternité by Le Pho. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 768.00 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Le Pho achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Figures in a garden in April last year with an auction result of HKD 17,920,000.00 (€ 2,166,658.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion Vietnamese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maternité von Le Pho zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 768,00 und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Le Pho erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Figures in a garden im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 17.920.000,00 (€ 2.166.658,44).
