Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Fisherman at sunset by Leo Eland was sold in the Indonesian Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2007. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 2,250.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Leo Eland - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House, which sold at auction in March 2013 for EUR 5,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Fisherman at sunset von Leo Eland wurde im Oktober 2007 in der Auktion Indonesian Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 2.250,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Leo Eland mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Indonesian Villagers Passing A Batak House beobachtet, die im März 2013 für EUR 5.000,00 versteigert wurde.
