Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, which included the work The Braggard by Leon Shulman Gaspard. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 6,747.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Leon Shulman Gaspard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Finish of the Kermesse in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,001,000.00 (€ 1,362,336.60).
