In January 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work A Volume Of Forty-Nine Drawings Illustrating Livy´S Roman History by Leonaert Bramer. The »bidding war« ended at USD 46,875.00 (€ 35,911.28), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Leonaert Bramer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Circumcision sold at auction in December 2004 with the realized price of GBP 41,825.00 (€ 59,193.90).

Im Januar 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Volume Of Forty-Nine Drawings Illustrating Livy´S Roman History von Leonaert Bramer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 46.875,00 (€ 35.911,28) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Leonaert Bramer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Circumcision im Dezember 2004 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 41.825,00 (€ 59.193,90).
