Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Mère et enfant - 1950 by Foujita was sold in the Impressionist & Modern Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in June this year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 38,048.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Foujita achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La fête d'anniversaire in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 7,096,250.00 (€ 8,002,380.76).

Die Arbeit Mère et enfant - 1950 von Foujita wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 38.048,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Foujita erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La fête d'anniversaire im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.096.250,00 (€ 8.002.380,76).
