Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nature morte aux coquillages et au anémones de mer by Foujita was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. The price achieved of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Foujita achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La fête d'anniversaire in October 2018 with an auction result of GBP 7,096,250.00 (€ 8,002,380.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nature morte aux coquillages et au anémones de mer von Foujita wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 269.595,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Foujita erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La fête d'anniversaire im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.096.250,00 (€ 8.002.380,76).
