In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Escape Artists 2.0: The Non-Conformists Online, which included the work Stalin And Marilyn by Leonid Sokov. The »bidding war« ended at USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,567.46), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Leonid Sokov have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lenin And Giacometti in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 77,699.22).

Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Escape Artists 2.0: The Non-Conformists Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Stalin And Marilyn von Leonid Sokov zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.567,46) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Leonid Sokov auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lenin And Giacometti im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 77.699,22).
