Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Ink Art : Journey, which included the work Mahler'S Symphony Series by Li Geng. The price achieved of HKD 60,000.00 (€ 7,060.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Li Geng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring In Jiangnan, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 247,800.00 (€ 27,273.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Ink Art : Journey durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mahler'S Symphony Series von Li Geng zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 60.000,00 (€ 7.060,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Li Geng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring In Jiangnan beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 247.800,00 (€ 27.273,32) versteigert wurde.
