Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cultivating Interest by Li Jin was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. It changed hands for a price of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,291.13) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 90,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Jin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Feast (Set Of Five) in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 2,840,000.00 (€ 319,968.53).
