Commentaire : Li Shuang est la seule femme issue du "Groupe de Etoiles", les Xing Xing, actif durant les années quatre-vingt en Chine. Ses peintures mettant toujours en scène une femme énigmatique, presque une Boddhisatva, dans des paysages empreintes d'une grande serenité, évoquent les origines tibétaines et la grande spiritualité de l'artiste.
Li Shuang is the only female member of the Xing Xing or Stars Group active in the late eighties in China. Her paintings, which always portray an enigmatic female figure, almost a Boddhisatva, in a serene landscape, evoke the Tibetan origins of the artist and her great spiritual quest.

Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2007 Artcurial in Paris held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Au Crepuscule Le Jade Rosit by Li Shuang. The price achieved of EUR 7,435.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Li Shuang achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red And Black in December 2013 with an auction result of CNY 1,888,000.00 (€ 226,357.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2007 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Au Crepuscule Le Jade Rosit von Li Shuang zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.435,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Li Shuang erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red And Black im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 1.888.000,00 (€ 226.357,21).
