Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2019 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II, which included the work Calligraphy by Liang Qichao. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 23,600.00 (€ 2,686.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liang Qichao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Kaishu in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 4,160,000.00 (€ 480,774.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2019 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy von Liang Qichao zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 23.600,00 (€ 2.686,37) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liang Qichao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.160.000,00 (€ 480.774,05).
