It achieved a price of GBP 317,000.00 (€ 353,723.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27%. Admittedly, works by Liberale da Verona have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Triumph Of Chastity in July 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,330,000.00 (€ 1,491,222.45).

Die Arbeit Tobias and the Angel: a cassone panel von Liberale da Verona wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Old Masters Evening Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 317.000,00 (€ 353.723,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Liberale da Verona auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Triumph Of Chastity im Juli 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.330.000,00 (€ 1.491.222,45).
