Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Lin Zexu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at POLY in Hong Kong in November 2021. The price achieved of HKD 21,600.00 (€ 2,401.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lin Zexu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy In Regular Script in June 2021 with an auction result of HKD 1,252,500.00 (€ 136,053.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Lin Zexu wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 21.600,00 (€ 2.401,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lin Zexu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy In Regular Script im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.252.500,00 (€ 136.053,98).
