Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH & CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A Nude Reclining In An Interior by Lionel Noël Royer. The price achieved of GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,951.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Lionel Noël Royer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elégante contemplant la mer in June 2003 with an auction result of EUR 15,275.00.

Im Juni 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH & CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Nude Reclining In An Interior von Lionel Noël Royer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.951,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lionel Noël Royer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elégante contemplant la mer im Juni 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.275,00.
