In April 2018 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Calligraphic Couplets by Liu Danzhai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 82,600.00 (€ 8,715.62), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Danzhai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zhong Kui And Sister in April this year with an auction result of HKD 504,000.00 (€ 514,682.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 38 % übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets von Liu Danzhai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 82.600,00 (€ 8.715,62) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Danzhai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zhong Kui And Sister im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 504.000,00 (€ 514.682,61).
