Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Chorus of Angels by Liu Ye was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in May last year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 102,000.00 (€ 12,109.59). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Liu Ye achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Smoke in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 52,182,000.00 (€ 5,964,325.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Chorus of Angels von Liu Ye wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 102.000,00 (€ 12.109,59) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Liu Ye erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Smoke im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 52.182.000,00 (€ 5.964.325,41).
