Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Study of a tree, a small cottage and bridge in the distance (recto); A mother and child, birds and dogs (verso) by Lodewijk Toeput was auctioned at Christies in New York in July 2003. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,135.25 (€ 922.22) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lodewijk Toeput achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Veduta Del Parco Di Una Villa Con Figure Vicino A Una Fontana in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 45,600.00.

Die Arbeit Study of a tree, a small cottage and bridge in the distance (recto); A mother and child, birds and dogs (verso) von Lodewijk Toeput kam im Juli 2003 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.135,25 (€ 922,22) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lodewijk Toeput erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Veduta Del Parco Di Una Villa Con Figure Vicino A Una Fontana im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.600,00.
