This artwork by Lord Snowdon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2020. In the Snowdon: A Life in Art and Objects auction, the work San Giorgio, Venice, 1995 sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,307.99) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lord Snowdon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work David Hockney, 1963, which sold at auction in September 2020 for GBP 8,125.00 (€ 8,959.13).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Lord Snowdon erzielte im September 2020 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Snowdon: A Life in Art and Objects wurde die Arbeit San Giorgio, Venice, 1995 für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.307,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Lord Snowdon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit David Hockney, 1963 beobachtet, die im September 2020 für GBP 8.125,00 (€ 8.959,13) versteigert wurde.
