However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Lorenzo di Credi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait of a gentleman, possibly Girolamo Benivieni (1453-1542), half-length, which sold at auction in April 2017 for USD 667,500.00 (€ 612,666.36).
