Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work "Petra" by Lotte Laserstein was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June this year, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - SEK 60,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at SEK 240,000.00 (€ 20,373.63). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lotte Laserstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work German abend Über Potsdam (Evening Over Potsdam) in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 421,250.00 (€ 512,279.21).
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit "Petra" von Lotte Laserstein im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – SEK 60.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit SEK 240.000,00 (€ 20.373,63) mehr als viermal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lotte Laserstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit German abend Über Potsdam (Evening Over Potsdam) im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 421.250,00 (€ 512.279,21).
