Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master and British Drawings, which included the work Cottages By A Stream Near A Bridge, With Anglers by Louis Bélanger. The price achieved of USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,808.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis Bélanger have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Utsikt över staden från Djurgårdslandet" (View over Stockholm from Djurgårdslandet) in June 2014 with an auction result of SEK 460,000.00 (€ 50,233.75).

Im Januar 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cottages By A Stream Near A Bridge, With Anglers von Louis Bélanger zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.808,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis Bélanger auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Utsikt över staden från Djurgårdslandet" (View over Stockholm from Djurgårdslandet) im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 460.000,00 (€ 50.233,75).
