This artwork by Louis Braquaval achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2001. In the BRITISH & CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction, the work 'Farme Aux Crotoy (Somme)' sold for GBP 528.75 (€ 878.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Louis Braquaval - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Place de l'Hotel de Ville, Paris, which sold at auction in February 2003 for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,573.19).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Louis Braquaval erzielte im Juni 2001 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion BRITISH & CONTINENTAL PICTURES wurde die Arbeit 'Farme Aux Crotoy (Somme)' für GBP 528,75 (€ 878,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Louis Braquaval mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Place de l'Hotel de Ville, Paris beobachtet, die im Februar 2003 für GBP 1.762,50 (€ 2.573,19) versteigert wurde.
