In the Orientalism auction, the work Magellon, Consul De France En Egypte, Visite La Colonne De Pompée. Alexandrie 1795 sold for EUR 35,100.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Louis-François Cassas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Archéologues examinant un bas-relief aux abords de la ville d'Athènes in March 2017 with an auction result of EUR 182,500.00.

Alexandrie 1795 für EUR 35.100,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Louis-François Cassas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Archéologues examinant un bas-relief aux abords de la ville d'Athènes im März 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 182.500,00.
