Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Garlanded Goat by Louis le Brocquy was sold in the British & Irish Art auction at Sothebys in London in November 2013. The price achieved of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 48,134.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis le Brocquy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Travelling Woman With Newspaper in September 2020 with an auction result of GBP 741,000.00 (€ 817,072.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Garlanded Goat von Louis le Brocquy wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion British & Irish Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 48.134,65) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 35.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis le Brocquy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Travelling Woman With Newspaper im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 741.000,00 (€ 817.072,96).
