Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors - Masters & Makers, Oak Furniture, Works of Art, Arts & Crafts and Old Master Paintings, which included the work Women and children in a kitchen interior by Louis Marie Marc Antoine Bilcoq. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,414.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Louis Marie Marc Antoine Bilcoq achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Astronomer in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 24,930.93).

Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors - Masters & Makers, Oak Furniture, Works of Art, Arts & Crafts and Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Women and children in a kitchen interior von Louis Marie Marc Antoine Bilcoq zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.414,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Louis Marie Marc Antoine Bilcoq erzielen.
