Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 2,888,750.00 (€ 3,293,740.45) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 2,000,000.00 – 3,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Lucio Fontana have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Concetto Spaziale, La Fine Di Dio in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,173,000.00 (€ 27,620,715.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Concetto spaziale, Attese von Lucio Fontana wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Thinking Italian bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 2.888.750,00 (€ 3.293.740,45) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000.000,00 – 3.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Lucio Fontana auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Concetto Spaziale, La Fine Di Dio im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.173.000,00 (€ 27.620.715,77).
