Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Testa di Medusa (Head of Medusa) by Lucio Fontana was sold in the Thinking Italian auction at Christies in London in October 2017. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 368,750.00 (€ 420,447.18). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Lucio Fontana achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concetto Spaziale, La Fine Di Dio in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 29,173,000.00 (€ 27,620,715.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Testa di Medusa (Head of Medusa) von Lucio Fontana wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Thinking Italian bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 350.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 368.750,00 (€ 420.447,18) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Lucio Fontana erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concetto Spaziale, La Fine Di Dio im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 29.173.000,00 (€ 27.620.715,77).
