Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Egyptian lake temple by M. Gianni was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 325.00 (€ 382.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by M. Gianni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A fishing village before I Faraglioni, Capri; and A girl on a coastal track, the Amalfi coast in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,124.30).

Die Arbeit An Egyptian lake temple von M. Gianni kam im Februar 2011 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 325,00 (€ 382,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von M. Gianni auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A fishing village before I Faraglioni, Capri; and A girl on a coastal track, the Amalfi coast im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.124,30).
