A top price for M. Suriyamoorthy - as previously expected
In March 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Untitled (Family Life Depiction) by M. Suriyamoorthy. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,258.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled (Family Life Depiction) is the most expensive artwork by M. Suriyamoorthy that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im März 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Family Life Depiction) von M. Suriyamoorthy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.258,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Untitled (Family Life Depiction) das teuerste Kunstwerk von M. Suriyamoorthy, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
