The result of GBP 600.00 (€ 882.94) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Mg Tun Hla have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Shwedagon Pagoda in April 2021 with an auction result of HKD 35,700.00 (€ 3,822.24).

Die Arbeit A Long Neck woman; and a Man from Shan State, Burma von Mg Tun Hla kam im Mai 2007 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 600,00 (€ 882,94) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mg Tun Hla auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Shwedagon Pagoda im April 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 35.700,00 (€ 3.822,24).
