Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Maggie Moran could be acquired at Christies in New York in August last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Insider Art: Christie’s New York Staff Show auction, this work without title changed hands for USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,251.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maggie Moran have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Which Way to the Bar in August this year with an auction result of USD 6,930.00 (€ 6,393.58).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maggie Moran konnte im August letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Insider Art: Christie’s New York Staff Show wechselte diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 1.260,00 (€ 1.251,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maggie Moran auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Which Way to the Bar im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 6.393,58).
