Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jeune Femme Aux Oiseaux by Baya was auctioned at Artcurial in May 2016. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,800.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Baya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 55,482.51).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Jeune Femme Aux Oiseaux von Baya kam im Mai 2016 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.800,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Baya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 55.482,51).
