Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Repos by Mahmoud Mokhtar was sold in the A Moroccan Winter Majorelle & his contemporaries Modern & Contemporary Moroccan and International Art auction at Artcurial in Marrakech in December 2020. Here, the upper estimate of MAD 220,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for MAD 221,000.00 (€ 19,335.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mahmoud Mokhtar achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Egyptian au Bord Du Nil (Ala Shat Elnil / On The Banks Of The Nile) in April 2016 with an auction result of GBP 725,000.00 (€ 926,765.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Repos von Mahmoud Mokhtar wurde im Dezember 2020 in der Auktion A Moroccan Winter Majorelle & his contemporaries Modern & Contemporary Moroccan and International Art bei Artcurial in Marrakesch versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von MAD 220.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für MAD 221.000,00 (€ 19.335,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Mokhtar erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Egyptian au Bord Du Nil (Ala Shat Elnil / On The Banks Of The Nile) im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 725.000,00 (€ 926.765,58).
