Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bulletproof by Mahmoud Obaidi was sold in the Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian auction at Sothebys in London in October 2010. It achieved a price of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 13,692.06), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mahmoud Obaidi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Farewell Kiss, which sold at auction in October 2014 for USD 62,500.00 (€ 49,880.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bulletproof von Mahmoud Obaidi wurde im Oktober 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 13.692,06) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Für andere Arbeiten von Mahmoud Obaidi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Farewell Kiss beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für USD 62.500,00 (€ 49.880,29) versteigert wurde.
